The Contact Center develops and maintains the applications for Barclaycard and other BU using Technology. Applications includes customer acquisitions and self-serve, site wearables for Barclaycard customers.Our technology teams ensure that we are open for business when our customers and clients need us, and that our colleagues have the tools and support they need to do a great job.We work in partnership with our business units to deliver world class products and services. From banking apps to contactless card payment services, video banking, cheque imaging and secure data storage; our colleagues are pioneering developments that surprise and delight our customers and clients. We are the lead innovators behind services such as Barclays PingIt, Talking ATMs, Barclays.net, bPay and colleague apps including Barclays NowThe Group ExCo have been working to create firm-wide global capabilities to enable us to deliver a seamless experience for our customers at all touch. There is a clear opportunity for increased consistency, consolidation and a more customer-centric approach in our branches, SkyBranches and Global Contact Centers; in particular those Contact Centers related to UK Community and Premier Banking, Mortgages, Cards in the UK, USA and Germany.In pursuit of this strategy the Head of Strategy and Performance will form part of the Contact Centre Technology Leadership Team and work on bringing together a global and consistent operation that is fully integrated to servicing customers and consumers which will be supported by it’s technology function. The transformation of this operating model will reduce complexity for customers, colleagues and clients by supporting the formation of Serve Co and stand up the Transaction Cycle organization.What will you be doing? •Executing technical requirements. •Identify gaps in requirements.•Modifying existing programs/ create new programs•Working in scrum teams delivering technical stories within 2 weekly sprint cycles •Responsible for story based development & local test and adherence to all coding standards•Responsible for high quality code that achieves consistent SQALE A rating with no technical debt within SonarQube•Expected to contribute in all agile ceremonies (planning / stand-ups / retros etc) to ensure high velocity is maintained. •Expected to be supportive within the team, both technically and culturally, to help achieve all targets set within sprint plans What we’re looking for: •5+ years experience with strong logical reasoning, problem solving and performance tuning skills•5+ years experience with developing applications using Java 7/8 / JEE•5+ years experience using Spring 3/4 (including knowledge across Core Spring Framework, and if possible Spring Boot) •5+ years experience and strong understanding of TDD with extensive experience of automated unit testing (e.g. JUnit) using mock object frameworks.Skills that will help you in the role: •Experience with VoiceXML based IVRs•AWS Cloud Experience•Strong understanding of call centers and call routing•Dev/Ops Experience including Openshift, Jenkins, and GradleWhere will you be working?At Barclays, we are proud to be redefining the future of finance and here at Whippany we are defining the future of the workplace and the future of the way we work and live.
